Cat
5 is comprised of several committees that deal with a specific sport,
such as football, basketball, and baseball, as well as committees that deal with general school spirit and with advertisement.

The
Football Committee
is
responsible for planning and running all events related to football on
campus and at Sun Life Stadium, such as Freshman and Senior Walk,
face-painting outside the student section, and
conducting various giveaways. The Football Committee also works
with the
Rathskeller Advisory Board (RAB) to organize, plan, and run football
tailgates at the Rat for all away games. In addition, the
committee helps to organize and plan the annual Cat 5-sponsored
football road trip.
The Football Committee will help in developing and advertising tennis promotions during the spring semester.

The
Basketball Committee runs
Haith's Faithful,
the elite membership program for men's basketball, as
well as distributing issues of the Gameday Report at the
basketball
games. It also works with Athletics and Marketing to plan,
organize, and carry out numerous events, activities, and giveaways, ranging
from shirts and rally towels to USB flash drives and Crocs, for both
men's and women's basketball games.

The
Baseball Committee
works to promote the baseball team through various activities and
giveaways throughout the spring semester. It carries out
promotions and giveaways, as well as planning and implementing an effective student section for all home games.
During the fall semester, the Baseball Committee will be responsible for promoting and developing soccer events.

The
PR/Marketing Committee
is responsible for designing
various flyers, posters, and other advertisements to promote Category
5, UM athletic teams, and school spirit in general. The
committee handles advertisement like creating Facebook
events to promote certain games and events on campus.
Members also assist in the design of shirts, towels, and other
giveaways for the various Cat 5 committees, as well as other ways of marketing Category 5 and UM athletics to the student body.

A spot on the
Incentive Committee is one of the
toughest positions to attain in Category 5.
Members of the committee will work with each other to implement and
maintain a comprehensive incentive program (Hurricane Force) for all undergraduate students who
attend sporting events.
Members must be committed to attending sporting events and consider
themselves organized and of unquestionable integrity.

Facebook.
